Florida Statute 484-0512 --30-Day Trial Period and Money-Back Guarantee
Under Florida law, you, as the person buying the hearing aid(s), have the right to cancel this purchase within 30 days of receiving the hearing aides). If the hearing aides) must be repaired, remade or adjusted within the 30-day trial period, then the trial period will stop until the hearing aides) is returned to you or until four days after you are notified that the hearing aides) is ready to be reclaimed, whichever is earlier. In the event that you decide to return the hearing aide s) within the 30-day trial period, you have the right to receive a refund of the total purchase price, upon return of the hearing aid in good working condition, less a charge not to exceed $150.00 for one hearing aid and $200.00 for two hearing aids to cover costs for earmold(s), services to fit the hearing aid, or any follow-up services. In addition, you may be charged a cancellation fee not to exceed 5% of the total purchase price.

 

Warranty Policy

The manufacturer warrants the hearing aid(s) for a period of time determined at the point of sale and is based on the specific item to be purchased in relation to the company manufacturing the hearing aid(s). The warranty of any hearing aid(s) begins on the date the purchaser takes delivery of the hearing aid(s).

Beltone Florida guarantees to make all necessary repairs and replacements without charge to original purchaser that take place within a Beltone Florida office. Any repairs requiring shipping to a manufacturer facility may cause the purchaser to incur costs for repair. The in-office complimentary repair does not cover cords, batteries, earmolds, nor does it cover damage or breakage caused by tampering, misuse, or carelessness.

Replacement for loss or damage of a hearing aid is provided once, within the twelve-month (12) period following delivery. In the event of loss and damage during this period, a dispensing fee of $450.00 per aid will be charged. A loss and damage claim during this period includes the evaluation period and renders the aides) ineligible for return, exchange or refund.

Complaints

  1. Against Hearing Aid Specialists: Any complaint concerning the hearing aides) and the guarantee(s), if not reconciled with the hearing aid specialist from whom the hearing aides) was or were purchased, should be directed to the Department of Health, Consumer Services Unit, 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin #C75, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3275, (888) 419-3456.
  2. Against Audiologists: Any complaint concerning the hearing aides) and the guarantee(s), if not reconciled with the audiologist from whom the hearing aides) was or were purchased, should be directed to the Department of Health, AHCA Consumer Services Unit, P.O. Box 14000, Tallahassee, Florida 32317-4000, (888) 4l9-3456.
